Next-Generation Nvidia Ion Is a Dedicated GPU That Powers Up Netbooks With 10x Faster Graphics [Nvidia]

Netbook graphics are inherently weak, especially with Intel’s much-derided integrated graphics. But the new Nvidia Ion —like its predecessor —lets even a wimpy netbook Hulk out to play DX10 games and 1080p videos. The difference? It’s a discrete graphics chip.

You Can Now Get Officially Licensed Marvel Comics TVs…Wait! What? [TVs]

by on Mar.02, 2010, under 7d, A4, Ads, age, Ai, app, AR, C6, car, cat, Cense, Cf, Cia, clear, Comic, Comics, confirmed, dash, de, Display, Ds, Ea, Eu, Fun, Gadget, Gadgets, Ge, Gizmo, Hd, HDTV, HDTVs, Home Automation, Hulk, Ion, Isp, LCD, Led, Marv, Marvel, Marvel hdtvs, Men, Mic, Mod, Ms, One, Os, Ouch, power, Pr, pre, price, Pro, Rc, Real, Red, Rf, Rtc23, screen, Screens, sea, search, store, Style, ted, television, Televisions, TI, Touch, TV, TVs, Ui, Up, Via, wolverine

A virtually unknown company called RTC23 claims that—with Marvel Entertainment’s blessings—they’ve created “the ultimate comic fan’s TV,” complete with character-themed splash screens and clever little cosmetic touches. We could barely believe it, but Marvel confirmed that they approved. RTC23 is offering 22, 32, 42 and 55-inch LCD and 40 and 46-inch LED HDTV versions of these comic character TVs and they all look great in that extra dorky way: Prices range from $339 to $1989 and you can order now, but be careful. While Marvel Entertainment has responded to us to confirm that they did indeed officially license these televisions, we really don’t know much about RTC23 or the quality of their products—just that they look pretty fun
