February has not been a good month for the Apple supply chain. After the assault , the arson, and the poisonings , now Apple’s annual supplier report reveals that this year 11 minors were found working in factories that manufacture their products. The 24-page report is full of bad news. The worst of it: three different factories Apple uses to manufacture parts employed 15 year old workers, 11 minors total, in countries that had a minimum working age of 16

Nanotech wonder Buckypaper is 10 times lighter and 500 times stronger than steel. And while academic research labs have successfully synthesized the stuff for years, the first architectural firm has just made Buckypaper on their own. NY’s Decker Yeardon just revealed their first thin sheet of the stuff—a “paper” made up of carbon nanotubes that, aside from being absurdly strong and light, can serve functions like filtering and heat dispersion

Right now, augmented reality is pretty much just geeks talking into PCs while wearing Optimus Prime masks. But in the not-so-distant future, it will alter the way we experience the world every moment of the day. The following video is just a marketing concept for Nooka watches , but the idea is fairly sound. Clip out a placeholder watch, log on to their site and actually try products on.

I know next to nothing about this oversize Lego minifig-shaped solar flashlight, other than it appeared in the official Lego booth at the 2010 Nuremberg Toy Fair. I assume the discerning Lego collector would illuminate their darkened home with nothing less. Also, AC adapter charging brick …get it? [ Hobby Media - Thanks, Francesco ]
